Our Rotary club is very pleased and excited to be sponsoring the 2025-2026 Education Series.

Rotary has been making a difference in our community and beyond since 1923. And we have always been ready and willing to get involved in projects and initiatives, both large and small.

Some of our most notable contributions include the Neonatal Unit at the hospital ($500K), YMCA therapeutic pool ($750,000), the Harris Learning Library ($125K), breast screening equipment ($220K), and the Rotary Splash Pad and Playground ($610K).

Our club’s primary focus has been to support area children and youth with special needs overcome challenging circumstances. Since 2003, we have provided over $1.7 million assisting families with the purchase of mobility devices, procuring special medical devices, paying for various treatments or therapies, supplementing travel and accommodations costs for out-of-town medical appointments, and assisting with funding for building renovations that allow, or improve, in-home mobility for children.

And this year, we started providing funding to support Victim Services of Nipissing District – Trauma Support K9 Program. Chewie, along with his handler, routinely provide trauma support to children and youth who have been victimized or witnesses to crime. They meet with young victims in a variety of settings including the Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, courtrooms, police stations, shelters and other community programs.

And today we are pleased to be expanding our focus yet again to include – “inspiring youth using the performing arts” by providing financial support for the Capitol Centre’s Educational Series, which has proved to be very successful since its inception.
