Happy Rotary New Year!

Our 2026-27 message, Create Lasting Impact, encourages all of us, as people of action, to work together to make a meaningful difference in our communities and around the world. It builds on the ways in which members have strengthened their connections to each other and to their communities to Unite for Good, the 2025-26 message. Now, Create Lasting Impact will harness those connections and inspire our members, participants, and the public to take collective actions that lead to a sustainable difference — globally, locally, and personally.

I encourage you to read RI President Olayinka Babalola's message and his story in the July 2026 Rotary magazine.

President Jeff sent out a Rotary New Year message to all members and one part that really stood out to me was his comment about listening to our members - both new and tenured.  Let's talk about how to make things better in our local and international community.  By working together, we can “Create a Lasting Impact”.

Last week we enjoyed a fellowship BBQ on a perfect summer day!  Thank you to all that worked to put this together.  The food was delicious and it was great to see so many Rotarians bring their families.  We had two visitors as well - Joanne (JoJo) from the Auburn-Lewiston Maine USA club and Bruce from Burlington Central club.  They shared the story of how they met and JoJo shared her international work project.  Just another example of how two strangers happen to meet and develop a connection where boarders and distance don't matter.  President Jeff is taking on the role of President for another year and there are some changes within the board.  We had a great year with increase in membership, amazing community work done and members going on an international mission as well.  Thank you to all those members that have done so much this year and especially to those tenured members that have given so much over the past years.  We have had tears of joy and tears of sorrow and thankfully have our “family of Rotary” to lean on when we need the support - always remember there is someone you can reach out to if needed! Here are a few pictures from the BBQ.

Canada Day was celebrated well and a few members were on hand at the Bandshell to hand out about 500 cupcakes.  Our members have volunteered for this for many years and it was a lot of fun to see the smiles on the faces (as well as the red icing) of so many!
