Great news - thanks to all our members hard work in all our various committees, our club has been nominated for the Bell Evening of Excellence Award. This is an annual event put on by the North Bay District Chamber of Commerce and someone out there nominated Rotary Club of North Bay. This is a recognition of all that our members do to support the community.

June 2 meeting will be an off-site meeting. We will be going to the Miskwaadesi site to join in some Indigenous learning, hear about the importance of the site and future plans, join in a light lunch provided by the North Bay Indian Friendship Centre and enjoy some fellowship. Please meet at the Miskwaadesi site just before 12:00 as we will be starting off with a smudging.

Our last meeting (May 12th) we had the pleasure of officially welcoming and inducting Krista Tucker-Petrick to our club. Her personal and professional experience will definitely be an asset to our club. Many of our committees will benefit from her knowledge. Welcome, Krista!

We also heard from Jennifer Moore and Sally Dunton. They talked about their organization's work in the community and how important it is to have the support of this agency. Don't forget to register for the President Changeover for June 12th at Average Joe's from 4:30 - 6:30. We have set up the RSVP so we can let Average Joe's know how many to expect. The event is open to members, their family and non-Rotarians. Here is the link to register:

The Nipissing Club is having its annual Lobsterfest…. anyone that loves lobster can enjoy some delicious lobster and the menu includes those that maybe are not so keen on lobster.

Please wear your name badges – we have a storage area at Cecil's Map Room so you can leave your name badges on the front table after the meetings. We will collect them and have them out for the next meeting. Your initial name badge is paid for when you join Rotary but any subsequent order will need to be paid by you. The cost is approx. $26 and can be ordered through Jeff Celentano, Membership Chair.
