Hope you are all enjoying a great weekend so far. We had a truly inspiring meeting on Tuesday with our guest speaker, Wade Ringler. Hearing his and his brother's story and how he has been able to give back to so many in our community was incredible. Thank you, Wade! Chat4Chad is so needed right now!

Our meeting on Tuesday, July 15th is at Cecil's Brewhouse, Map Room starting at noon. We will not be having a “regular” meeting but we will have reports/talks about our various committees. This will be an open meeting and hopefully the committee chairs are able to attend so we can know more about your committees and what the plans/goals are. I am sure there will be time as well for a quick look at Clubrunner if that is something members would like to see and some good fellowship as well.

I believe an email was sent out to all members advising that Henry Drenth is in good hands at NBRHC and we are all sending messages of a speedy recovery. Henry was working on setting up drivers for the RYLA students so if anyone is able to help out with driving students to and/or from the RYLA venue, please let either John Wallace or myself know. The address is 4585 Hwy 141, Rosseau - about 160 KM one way.

6 District Retreats are happening this year instead of one District Conference - this is a new concept and the organizing committee needs someone from our club to help out with the organizing. If you are able to help, this would be for the Little Current retreat on Sept. 13-14 please let either Jeff Hobbs or myself know.
Don't forget to register for the District Retreat - you can register for any one you wish to attend (or more if you wanted to visit with Rotary friends from other clubs). Here is the web site to visit: https://district7010conference.com/ for all the information.

Here is a portion of the message from Rotary International President Arezzo from his address at the convention in Calgary:
As we embark on this new Rotary year, our Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo from Ragusa, Italy, said, “Let us create one great shared dream that unites us, that excites us, that changes the world and changes our lives, too.” He has asked us to come together with a focus on membership, the eradication of polio and peace. During his final remarks at the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, he said, “Together, we can unite. We can unite to change lives, including our own. We can unite to change communities, right around the corner and half a world away. We can unite to change our world for the better, not just for us, but for generations to come. Together, we Unite for Good.”
During the month of July, we also celebrate one of our areas of focus: Maternal and Child Health. As members of Rotary, we expand access to quality care, so mothers and children everywhere can have the same opportunities for a healthy future. An estimated 5.9 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, inadequate health care, and poor sanitation — all of which can be prevented.
