ROTARY CLUB OF NORTH BAY - WEEKLY BULLETIN

December 13, 2025

Message from President Jeff:

As we approach the Christmas season, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has truly been a remarkable year for our Rotary Club. This past year brought tremendous growth and meaningful change—new members, new ideas, and renewed energy that strengthened our ability to serve our community. None of this would have been possible without the dedication, generosity, and fellowship of each and every Rotarian.

Looking ahead, we have every reason to be excited about the year to come. The momentum we’ve built together has positioned our club for even greater impact, and I’m confident that the new year will bring fresh opportunities to learn, serve, and grow—both as individuals and as a club. Together, we will continue to make a positive difference while embracing the changes that help us move forward.

On behalf of our executive and leadership team, I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season. May this time be filled with peace, gratitude, and time well spent with family and friends. Thank you for all you do for Rotary, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the year ahead.

On behalf of your ShelterBox Committee, may we ask that you consider making a donation to this Rotary Global Partner before the end of 2025.  At this time of year, we usually run a ‘Global Gifts’ campaign - where any amount, no matter how large or small, will go to ShelterBox as they provide humanitarian aid around the world.  $25 (solar lights), $60 (kitchen cooking set), $85 (blankets), $150 (my personal favourite: a Shelter Kit), $500 (a Family Tent) or, for $1,200 (a COMPLETE Shelter Box with ALL of these goods and more inside).  ANY donation can and will help!!  What a great Christmas gift for those friends and family members that have everything and are hard to buy for….. you can donate in their name!

If you need another tax receipt, don't forget about our group going to the Dominican Republic as part of the HHART International Humanitarian trip in February!  We are looking to raise funds to help the very poor villages in the DR.  If you have any questions on this Rotary International trip, please ask either Bill Hagborg, Ghislaine Cote, Yvonne Taylor or myself and we will gladly let you know what the trip will be about.

Our last meeting for the year is December 16th at noon in the Map Room at Cecil's.  This will be our Annual General Meeting so make sure to attend to hear how our club is doing financially.  BDO will be there to present the audited report.  We will also have our elections to put in place the slate of executive and directors for the next Rotary year.  Please think about putting your name or nominating a member for the board.  If you would like to help shape the future of your club, take a seat on the board!

Following the AGM, we will have a Christmas fellowship.
