Rotary Fellowships are international groups that share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends around the world, explore a hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary experience.
Our dear friend Trudy Lang-Flumerfelt's passing has left a hole in many of our hearts and the words “What joy to heaven Trudy brings, her music flows round angel's wings.” are so true.
The visitation on Friday was full - all the lives she touched through her music, her generosity, her compassion!
The Funeral Mass was a celebration of her life and having the Honour Guard for Trudy and her family was a way we could pay tribute to her incredible support and all she gave to Rotary through her music, working on various committees and making each of us a better person. We miss you, Trudy, but you will always be a part of us - we carry you in our hearts and remember you with every song we sing!
Thank you to Lori Cappadocia from the Red Cross, North Bay who was our program speaker on Monday. She went through the services Red Cross offers to our community which is quite extensive and many of us did not know about. Here is the link to the web site if you wanted more information:
Rose Day is on the agenda for Monday. Club Treasurer, Yvonne Taylor, will be Chairing the meeting and Steve Wright will be giving us the details on what will happen for the weekend as well.
There is always room for more volunteers to deliver and help with the sorting - contact Steve Wright if you have time to donate on Friday or Saturday.
Our outbound exchange student, Tala Woodhouse, will be joining in the fun of delivering the roses on Saturday!
Our meeting on June 22nd will be dedicated to various committee reports/updates and New Members! We hope to have our Youth Exchange student, Tala, who will be going to Taiwan in August join us.
June 29th - year end BBQ Fellowship at the waterfront - make sure to mark that day in your calendar and come hungry! This event is open to family and friends as well!

Keep an eye on your email inbox on or about June 1st, as members will be receiving an invoice for our annual club dues for Rotary year 2026-2027. Payment to continue your Rotary membership should be received by Friday, June 19, 2026. If you do not intend on renewing your membership, please send an email to rotaryclubofnorthbay@gmail.comno later than June 19th. It is important to pay your dues by the deadline as the club has strict payment deadlines with Rotary International and District 7010, and we do not want to make unnecessary payments for those who have decided to discontinue their membership. Thank you for your cooperation.
We are going to be participating once again with the City’s Canada Day celebration.
This will involve us handing out delicious red and white cupcakes at the A.C.T. Shelter (next to the King’s Landing Wharf) from noon until approximately 1 PM. We are looking for up to 5 volunteers (2 spots are already spoken for) to come out by 11:30 am on July 1st.
Rotary Club of North Bay 1145 Cassells Street North Bay ON P1B 4B4
Since renting out the storage area on Cassells, the landlord has given us the use of the office to have our mail received which will save us a few dollars in Canada Post box office rental. Please start using this as our address and ensure you notify any companies, individuals that you know would mail us that we are changing our mailing address. The post office box will stay available for the next few months to ensure we catch the mail and notify those that are coming to the old address of the change.
