Monday's meeting was our official District Governor meeting and DG Drew Markham presented us with an overview of the focus for his year. He has been on a tour of many clubs within our district in the past few weeks and has seen many amazing projects that those clubs have done. He went on a tour of our Splash Pad, Playground and Pollinator Garden. He had time to try out the slide as well. It was a bit too cold to go play in the Splashpad - maybe next time he visits!

July 25th was our third annual Rotary Community Day. We had the YMCA staff on hand to do some fun activities and give away prizes to children, we handed out almost 200 ice cream cones, Radar was on hand with some of North Bay Police staff giving away things like lights for bicycles, stickers, and safety tips for children. The Splashpad was busy as the weather was perfect! Thank you to our members and Rotary Club of Nipissing members that came out to make this a great day! Thank you to YMCA staff - the kids loved the games and prizes; Radar was a big hit - I can't imagine how hot it was for Radar! Thank you to the North Bay Police group as well!

What is it?
Every year, the NBACF holds its primary fundraising event: a prestigious annual dinner spotlighting the impact of the Foundation funds and fundholders, as well as the charities who received grants. This dinner features a full-course catered meal, a presentation and video from the NBACF Board, a fantastic silent auction, and a competitive live auction to finish the night. Guests from local charities, businesses, the political sphere, and local clubs all come together to celebrate another great year of impact and philanthropy in our community. This year will be the 12th Annual Foundation Dinner.
When and Where is it?
This year’s dinner will take place on Friday, October 2nd at the Grande Event Centre, 192 Main Street East. The event will start at 5:00pm.
Interested in join our Rotary table of ten? Please RSVP to Bill Hagborg (bhagborg77@gmail.com). Tickets are $175 each, which includes a $100 tax receipt. We will provide the online portal link to then purchase your tickets.

I read this recently and thought it important to share:
Belonging isn't created by chance. It grows when we intentionally notice those around us and make room for everyone.
"In Rotary, every member should feel like they have a seat at the table and a place in the story."
