Our meeting on Monday will be Club Council so it goes without saying that this is an important meeting to attend. Please come with your ideas, suggestions, concerns and any other matters related to help improve our Club. We will be meeting in the Map Room, Cecil's Brewhouse.
If you cannot attend in person, here is the Zoom link - it is the same link for all our meetings so you can set this up in your favourites to make access easier:
There will be a meeting on November 22nd at 6:00 PM for the 100th Anniversary Committee. If you are interested in helping us put together an amazing celebration of 100 years of Rotary in North Bay, please do come out and see how you can help.
November is Foundation month. Our club has been a great supporter of Rotary Foundation but do you know all that Rotary Foundation is involved in? Here are some "fun facts" and if you would like more information, please visit https://www.rotary.org/en/our-programs.
In just over 10 years, the Rotary Foundation has trained more than 1000 fellows at our Peace Centers. Many of them have gone on to serve as leaders at international organizations like the United Nations and World Bank or to form their own foundations.
Rotary invests more than $7 million a year in our future leaders and philanthropists by funding scholarships for undergraduate and graduate study.
For 100 years, The Rotary Foundation has been turning project ideas into reality. Our clubs receive funding to support humanitarian projects, scholarships, and international exchanges.
New Generations Service Exchange is a short-term, customizable program for university students and young professionals up to age 30. Participants can design exchanges that combine their professional goals with a humanitarian project.
Rotary Youth Exchange builds peace one young person at a time. Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens.
RYLA is a leadership development program for young people who want to learn new skills, build their confidence, and have fun. Events range from one-day seminars to weeklong camps.
Finding community solutions to community challenges, Rotary Community Corps unites Rotary members with nonmembers to make a positive difference.
Each year, Rotary selects up to 100 professionals from around the world to receive fully funded academic fellowships at our Rotary Peace Centers.
