Water, Sanitation and Hygiene is March focus

ROTARY CLUB OF NORTH BAY - WEEKLY BULLETIN
March 28, 2026

We are excited to have Presnel, this year’s Ambassador and his mom, Véronique Bada, along with Kevin O’ joining us this Monday March 30th at our noon meeting. Please note we will be in The Grande Event Centre.

Presnel is a joyful and energetic 6‑year‑old who loves staying active. One of his favourite places is the YMCA, where swimming and basketball are top picks. That’s where Presnel first tried floor hockey—and enjoyed it so much that he asked to play ice hockey.

Today, Presnel proudly plays for the North Stars on the “Shooting Stars” team. Presnel’s enthusiasm, determination, and big heart make a wonderful representative for this year’s campaign. He is in Grade 1 at École publique Héritage.

Dr. Rod Johnston gave our club a presentation on the proposed Heritage Railway Company train station construction.  Many tourists and local residents have enjoyed rides on the train and this proposal will add so much for both the many volunteers that help out plus the visitors.

Please note that there will be no meeting on April 6th BUT there will be a Bingo Stuffing at Rorab Shrine Club hall located at 1206 Brookes.  Come out for some great fellowship, lots of folding and stuffing but a Pizza payoff at the end! ________________________________________________________________________

Sgt at Arms Steve highlighted in our International Toast the Rotary Club of Bankok South for their Water Projects.  To date, the Rotary Club of Bangkok South has completed over 670 water projects across the kingdom, helping schools and their communities, providing clean drinking water for up to 18 years, and positively changing the lives of thousands of students, their families, and their communities.  For more information to read about the Club's great work, here is the web site:

All Committee Chairs and Directors will be receiving an email with a document attached. This document will be used to plan our budget for the next Rotary year.  We will be reviewing the budget for approval in the April board meeting so please do complete the form if your Committee will need funding.  There are Committees that do not require any funds being budgeted such as Shelterbox but many others do.  If you are not sure, please check with either your Director or President Jeff.  If we do not have funds allocated to your committee with a budget, then there may not be any funds available.
