An estimated 5.2 million children under age five died mostly from preventable and treatable causes in 2019, according to the WHO. Globally, preterm birth, birth asphyxia and trauma, and congenital anomalies, as well as infectious diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria, are the leading causes of these deaths. More than 80% of these deaths occurred in sub Saharan Africa and central and southern Asia.

July 22nd - Community Celebration Festival organized by Clean, Green and Beautiful North Bay annual event at the bandshell! We will have a tent set up and members from Nipissing Club will be there as well. We have give-aways to hand out and a chance to showcase Rotary to the community. Come by with your Rotary shirts and enjoy some great fellowship!

The Family of Rotary committee has been sending a dozen roses to widows of Rotarians for many years as part of the Rose Day event.
