Rotary shares an interest in protecting our common legacy: the environment.
We are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources and advance ecological sustainability. We empower communities to embrace local solutions, create innovative service projects, and access grants and other resources to foster harmony between people and nature.
Rotary makes change happen
We work with communities to implement service projects that improve the environment and transform lives. Thriving ecosystems can support people’s health, create economic opportunities, and help build peace.
We had a great kick-off at our annual Rotary4Kids on Monday! This year's Ambassador and his mother joined our luncheon along with the amazing supporters that have been so important to the success of Rotary4Kids such as Redpath (great to see George and hear the update on our dear friend, Trudy) YMCA, One Kid's Place and of course the infamous Kevin O! April 13th meeting will be a great information session on Fraud & Scam awareness presented by Adam Delorme and Jim Palengio - this is such a timely topic and sure to be a benefit to many of us!
We are so grateful to receive a heartfelt update about our dear friend and longtime Rotarian, Trudy, who is currently in Florida receiving treatment after being diagnosed with cancer. True to her incredible spirit, Trudy remains positive and optimistic, sharing that she is receiving outstanding care and has full confidence in her path forward. In classic Trudy fashion, she has already brought joy to others with her piano playing at the hospital - lifting the spirits of patients, staff and visitors alike. Treatment is going well and she sends her love with a reminder to be thankful for each day. We miss her deeply and continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers as she focuses on healing.
I saw this posted to another club's bulletin and wanted to share:
Rotary isn’t just what we do—it’s why we do it, and how it shapes us along the way. Take a moment this month to share your Rotary story, with a fellow member, a guest, or someone who might be looking for connection and purpose. Invite them to a meeting. Let them see what Rotary means through your experience. Because when we share our stories, we don’t just reflect impact—we multiply it.
Committee chairs/Directors - don't forget to get your budgets in to President Jeff ASAP for the next Rotary year - it is important to have these budgets in place so the board can plan for the future and to ensure your committees have the funds needed to succeed in your projects/events!
