On Monday, January 20th we will have Gianna Consalvo talk to us about Service & Engagement. She is a specialist in this field and I am sure we can get some great ideas from her. We had our Club Council meeting on Monday and there were a lot of great discussions around many different areas. We talked about the survey results and I would have loved to have had more time as there were many great comments and ideas from both the surveys and our discussions. If anyone would like to see the final survey results, please do let me know and I will gladly send those to you. I am putting together some notes on the discussions that took place and will get those out in a separate email to all members. We had 18 surveys returned out of 52 members so not as many as hoped. If you have any comments that you would like to mention that maybe we did not have time during the meeting, please do send them to me. All your ideas, thoughts are important and will help to make this club better!
The committee members have been updated in Clubrunner as per the sheets that were posted on the walls. I have had a couple of replies from Committee Chairs about their committee meetings and also for some restructuring. Once I receive a reply from all the chairs, I will make sure Clubrunner is updated and send out the final committee list with a brief description and meeting/event times.

We had numerous thank you cards made by children thanking us for the hygiene bags that were dropped off to the Crisis Centre. The 30 bags of items such as toothpaste, hand warmers, socks, soap, etc were very much needed and appreciated.

Name tags - we now have a storage area so if you wanted to drop off your name tags they will be placed in the storage and brought out for the meetings. Jeff Celentano has put in an order for those that needed them so this is a reminder to please wear your name tags.....let Jeff know if you need to have one ordered.

We had an email from Laura Maroukis from YES Canada asking for help in locating a host family for a student coming in from Italy on Feb. 1st for 5 months. He is described as independent, enjoys basketball, volleyball, cooking, swimming, reading and going to the gym. He is in grade 12. We are looking for members to attend the Chamber of Commerce monthly After Hours meetings. If you are interested in mingling with area business members and promoting Rotary, please note that there will be a sign up sheet at Monday's meeting. We would like to see 1 or 2 members attend these monthly meetings to learn more about the businesses in our area, promote Rotary and possibly have some new members. The "Ask me about Rotary" pins will be at the meeting on Monday so please take one for those that don't have one and do wear it!
