We had a great presentation by Peggy Morrison who started up the Open Arms Cafe.  She gave us the background to how the Cafe was started and why its so important to our community.  She mentioned how vital it is to have socks to distribute and I was thinking our club could make it a regular part of our meetings to bring a pair of socks to each meeting.  If you could think about bringing a pair of socks at least once per month (more often if you can) and we could collect them and drop off to Peggy at the Cafe.

It is wonderful to have people like Peggy in our community that give back to those in need and so much like our Rotary ways.
Next week is Rotary Golf Day - there will be no meeting at Cecil's - please do come out to Osprey's and enjoy some golf, fellowship and meal afterwards.  Those who are not golfers, you can still come out to the dinner portion for some wonderful fellowship.  Here is the link to register:
ROTARY COMMUNITY DAY is this Saturday.  Please come out between 11-2 to let the community know about Rotary, what we do and why we do it.  We will have our new Rotary tent to show off as well!  We will be at the SplashPad and handing out tickets to the children for some treats.  YMCA will be on hand to keep the little ones busy as well.
