PRESIDENT'S REMARKS "Rotary Vocational Service Month"

As the saying goes, “There is strength in numbers”. This Thursday, the Kiwanis Club is inviting North Bay’s service clubs to attend a meeting at the Legion at noon to talk about how we can work together to ensure a successful Armed Forces Day weekend! Three Honorary Colonels of our 21 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron; Hariett Madigan, Tom Hedican and George Burton will be in attendance to discuss the CANADA 150 NORTH BAY Air Show featuring the Snowbirds, The Skyhawks Parachute Team and the CF 18 demo team totalling near 50 personnel. The weekend selected for North Bay is June 16, 17 just weeks before their July 1 show in Ottawa. I will be attending the meeting and will provide an update next week.
Reminder that Rotaract is hosting a Pints, Poutine and Plaid night again this year, on Friday February 24th at 8 p.m. here at the Grande Event Centre, with proceeds going to Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Tickets are $30 each and available through Justin or any other Rotaract member.
