During the month of May we celebrate our Rotary youth programs. Rotary Youth Exchange builds peace one young person at a time.  Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens. Exchanges for students ages 15-19 are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries.  Here one exchange student's story:

Special events:

June 6th - Camp Tillicum Spring Clean Up - this annual event has been a lot of fun over the years with great fellowship and some hard work but so worth it at the end when we get treated to a BBQ by Pres. Jeff!  Assistant Governor Peter will be on hand to make the work load lighter - thank you, Peter.  I think this will be 3 years in a row we have had you out to help!

June 20th - Annual Rose Day - yes, a day to treat your friends, family, co-workers and business associates to a dozen roses!  This is a fundraiser that helps with international service projects, local community projects and some of the Club's administrative costs.  Send a dozen roses to someone special - contact Steve Wright for details and to volunteer to deliver the flower orders/work at Jackman's.

Rotarian of the Year award - remember to nominate a member! The award will be presented at the June 29th fellowship event.  Please send nominations in to Pres. Jeff

We held a board meeting on May 28th where we reviewed and passed the budget for 2026-2027 Rotary Year.  Directors will be reaching out to their respective Committee Chairs to go over the budget and ensure the Committee Chairs are approving any expenses.  What this means is any member that has an expense item they are looking for reimbursement for, that expense would have had to been approved by the Committee Chair and the Committee Chair will present to the Treasurer for payment.

The budget has been uploaded to the Club's Clubrunner site under Documents.

If you have any questions, please do reach out to your Director, Pres. Jeff or Secretary, Bill Hagborg.

President Jeff had sent out the notice of our dear friend Trudy's passing.  He also shared the date and place for both the visitation and funeral service.  If anyone did not receive this information, please reach out to either myself or Pres. Jeff and we can resend the information.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to George and all the family and friends.

President Jeff will discuss more details at our meeting on Monday.

2026-2027 Dues

Keep an eye on your email inbox on or about June 1st, as members will be receiving an invoice for our annual club dues for Rotary year 2026-2027. Payment to continue your Rotary membership should be received by Friday, June 19, 2026. If you do not intend on renewing your membership, please send an email to rotaryclubofnorthbay@gmail.com no later than June 19th. It is important to pay your dues by the deadline as the club has strict payment deadlines with Rotary International and District 7010, and we do not want to make unnecessary payments for those who have decided to discontinue their membership. Thank you for your cooperation.
