Rotary Splash Pad & Playground

Since 2007, the Splash Pad Project has been on the planning agendas for the Rotary clubs of North Bay and North Bay-Nipissing . The desire from the outset was to create a legacy for the community and to provide a catalyst for development in the downtown-waterfront area. The splash pad opened in August 2019. The playground opened in August 2024.

The splash pad and playground are located directly behind the Discovery North Bay Museum (100 Ferguson Street), next to the City Bus Terminal and only a 5-minute walk from the Lake Nipissing waterfront via the Waterfront Pedestrian Underpass.

Splash Pad

Open daily from mid May to mid September from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted.

The City of North Bay is reminding residents that the splash pad is unsupervised and that parents or  guardians must supervise their children at all times.

The Rotary Clubs of North Bay and North Bay-Nipissing hope you and your family and friends enjoy this fully accessible facility for "Kids from 2 to 102", which features 3 zones for - toddlers, family and children/youth.

Rotary Trail?

There has been some very preliminary discussions by the Rotary Steering Committee with the City, exploring the idea of creating a trail from the waterfront to the splash pad and playground area using the underpass that was installed as part of the original master plan for the development of the former rail lands.
