Officials with the North Bay Regional Science Fair say the 54th annual event held on April 13, 2016 was a success.
 
Over 150 students took part and there were over 50 awards handed out.
 
Three projects are heading to the Canada-wide science fair in Montreal next month.

They include Gabrielle Russo of St. Luke’s Catholic Elementary School for her project“Stripping Down the Sugars”, Ashleigh Brady and Reagan Lawton of Widdifield for their project “Company in the Shower” and Riley Geisler and Caleb Charette of West Ferris Secondary for their project “Synthetic 3D Printed Heart”.
 

The Rotary Club of North Bay Award of Excellence was awarded to Ashleigh Brady and Reagan Lawton from Widdifield. The award includes a contribution of $500 towards the North Bay team's travel to Fair in Montreal.
